
A CAT is recovering after it was found in Warwick with an illegal trap snapped shut on its leg.
Three of the animal’s toes had to be amputated and the incident in is now being investigated by the RSPCA.
The old trap – known as a gin trap – clamped around the tom cat before it staggered in to a front garden off Myton Road.
Diane Goddard, practice manager at the town’s Avonvale Vets, said: “The trap’s jaws had snapped shut around its hind leg and it was in an awful state.
